Hello internet
My name is J.J. Corbett and I am a secondary school student. I am fond of playing video games and not much else really, maybe watch youtube videos every now and again. I'm not the type of person to be in a group but I prefer to stay among-st a small group of friends and have conversations about video games, funny videos or really stupid things in general.
My taste is unusual among-st the people around me, soft rock, usually whenever I play it in public, some fool thinking he's some kind of hotshot insults it or tries to convince me that the latest song about sex with a surprisingly shameless video is the best thing out there, but then there's those moments when people like my tastes, simply respect it or not bother anyone.
Most adults (especially my parents) see nothing in me playing video games, saying it's a waste of time and effort that's better spent investing in school work or going outside around where I live. I detest the idea of doing so because the locals around my age aren't exactly the nicest of people. Playing video games strengthens the ties I've made because our conversations primarily revolve around them, that and they are fun, interesting and very interactive (more interactive than sitting in front of a t.v. watching soaps). Many people including my family believe that playing violent video games makes me and anyone else who plays them incredibly violent, however, many studies have disproved this and I am living proof of this.
Hello J.J. and welcome to the blog.
