Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate review

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate

Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is an action roleplaying game made by Capcom for the Nintendo3DS. This game is rated for ages twelve and up, for once I agree with the age rating as young children would not have the patience to deal with the difficulty. There is no mature content either visual or verbal, the worst you could see in this game would be very unrealistic squirts of blood when you hit a monster which children of this age are most likely used to worst.
The game takes place in a world where monsters run rampant in the wild and humanity, for the most part, live alongside them without problems. However there will always be problems. This is where you come in, to accept quests to fight monsters or other types.
You can create your own character to play the story and progress by making armour from monster materials and doing quests
You can play the single player campaign where you play through the story by completing quests. You can also play online with players nearby or around the world to play quests while sharing three lives between one to four players. When playing online you can use a text box to talk to everyone, any bad language will be censored out, however, that never stopped anyone from using numbers for letters.
This game is very fast paced and I would not recommend this for casual gaming, it is for players who want a challenge and fast paced, man versus giant monster death matches. The age rating is recommended but younger players can play without any worry from parents. I would rate this game 8/10 for the graphics, soundtrack, gameplay and concept. Know the patience of your child while playing this game or else baby-proof your 3Ds to keep it from breaking!

  1. You could possibly delve into the mechanics of the game itself, the areas and other areas just could be expanded upon, but it has a good idea to it.
